I. General Announcements

This January Meeting turned out smaller than expected (must’ve been Gomez’s poor Yelp rating). Only 7 members and 2 Guests braved the windy stormy weather.

Club members and guests welcomed the winner of the 2014 vote for MMC presidency – Jason!

Jason addressed the meeting: “I stand before you today, a year older, and no longer an interim president. I must say that nothing much has happened in the past 12 months. Even though I’m not too familiar with the area, Joe Parrino has promised to work close with me this year! Thank you for your support!!”

Many at the meeting were happy with Jason’s new position, but some demanded transparency and accountability.

In response to the negativity, Jason then added “If the local hiking club were to treat their hiking trails the same way they’ve treated our singletrack, we would view their behavior as anti-social and illegal!”

For those of you who don’t know Jason; he was born on Friday, June 13, 1981 in the small town of Crystal Lake, CA. Jason suffered from severe physical deformities, mental disabilities, and a very sheltered childhood. During the summer of 1993, Jason attended Camp Crystal Lake, where his mother worked as a cook. Jason was bullied by many of the campers, and tried many times to escape his tormentors. One day, while running from some bullies, Jason fell off a boat dock and drowned.

Somehow, Jason returned to life, and spent the rest of his life living off the land stalking campers – chopping their heads off with a machete, etc.

Jason moved to Mammoth shortly after all that. He rides a Honda 450R, and still swears to this day of getting detained by a non-sworn USFS employee on state route 203. USFS continues to deny all culpability. “We welcome any opportunity to discuss this fabricated incident with Jason, but he will have to check his machete in with front desk staff.” -USFS

New Business

2014 sponsored rides - the club is firming up dates for 2014 rides. If you have a ride that you think would fit the club please consider 'sponsoring' it. Ride sponsors are responsible for the planning and logistics - every club member is 100% empowered to take this on. Remember that when setting the date not everyone will be able to make it, but so what, small attended rides are sometimes the best!

Treasury report: $100 from the treasury is owed to past prez Fro for his efforts in shirt making. He spent $400 of his own money and earned back $300. The consensus was to cash him out coining him Fro-dough. The remaining shirts are smaller sizes but should generate $100 back to the treasury over time.

Our youngest guest at Gomez's, John Jr, wanted everyone to take a look at his video that was entered in the Mammoth Mountain Ski and Snowboard team video contest.
